Health, Safety and Welfare
The Health, Safety and Welfare of our Children,
Gymnasts, Adults and Coaches is paramount to us.
Please observe and follow the club’s policy guidelines below:
Promoting essential physical and educational development, for all early year’s children from walking to school age. Recognised over the years as a successful, safe effective and child friendly environment.
HEALTH:
- Children should not attend if they have symptoms of any illness.
- Children should inform the coach of any health or injury issues.
SAFETY:
- Long hair should be tied back.
- Jewellery is not allowed to be worn in the gym, including belly & nose rings. Use plaster to cover if needed.
- Loose baggy clothing which may catch on apparatus should be removed including Hoody tops.
- Children should be appropriately dressed.
- Dresses should not be not be worn, unless with leggings or shorts underneath.
- Costume attire should not be worn in the gym.
- Socks or shoes are not to be worn in the gym.
SAFEGUARDING AND WELFARE:
- All individuals will be treated fairly and equally regardless of gender, age religion and ethnicity.
- Personal details will be safely stored and used appropriately.
- No group photographs or videos of children/gymnasts is to be posted on social media, unless authorised.
The club acknowledges its duty of care towards all participants with regards to their health, safety, particular needs and welfare.
